A Client Finds a Home as IH Volunteer

International House relies heavily on talented and dedicated volunteers to support many of their programs. Blanca Margarita Munoz was one of them.

Magguie came to International House as a client for its immigration services to help adjust her status to a Legal Permanent Resident. During her periodic visits to IH, Magguie saw how busy the paralegals at the International House Law Clinic were and volunteered to help liaise with their Latino clients. Magguie's bilingual skills helped facilitate many client interactions. Magguie loved her work as a volunteer and found that it enriched her in many ways. A novice in immigration-related matters, she learned a lot from the International House legal team and today counts among her friends many of the people she met while she was with International House.

Magguie recently found a job and her new commitments do not permit her to continue volunteering, but she very hopeful that she will be able to return one day.
Thank you Magguie, we all wish you the very best in your journey and hope to see you here soon!
